| Immunization Program |
Vaccines available for diphtheria,
tetanus, pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, polio, hepatitis B,
HIB and pneumonia. Flu clinics each fall and measles clinics
in schools. Hepatitis B vaccine offered to selected high
risk groups such as firemen, police, etc. Immunizations for
foreign travel through McCracken Center. Follow-up to assure
children receive vaccines on schedule.

Other Sexually Transmitted Infections |
Counseling and testing for STI,
AIDS, or HIV infection. Treatment on-site or by
referral. Educational presentations available upon
request. Social services, financial and drug procurement
assistance for those affected with HIV/AIDS.

Disease and Diabetes Services |
Blood pressure and blood sugar
monitoring/testing and counseling on diet, medications, foot care,
exercise and lifestyle to prevent complications of these chronic
conditions. Dilated eye exam referrals are available on a
limited basis.

Mammography Services |
For women who do not receive Family
Planning Clinic services. Health history, pap smear, pelvic
examinations, clinical breast examination and other health
screenings done. Breast self-exam instruction and other
health education also provided. Mammogram referrals, with
payment assistance for income-eligible women.

| Tuberculosis
Program |
TB skin testing for case finding
and for occupational requirements. Follow-up services for
those with positive skin tests and for TB cases. Diagnosis
(x-ray and medical evaluation), medications, nursing, counseling
and intensive case management are provided. Education
information is available upon request.

| Communicable
Disease Services |
Investigations and other services
as needed during disease outbreaks. Services are often
related to food borne disease, measles, hepatitis and
meningitis. Dog bites and other human exposures to potential
rabies infections are investigated and appropriate steps are taken
including quarantine of animals and submission of samples for
laboratory analysis. Rabies vaccine is provided as
needed. Public education to increase pet vaccinations and to
discourage making pets of wild animals.
