Restaurant
Scores Are
Public Record
Restaurants
that sell and prepare food in McCracken County are inspected by the
Purchase District Health Department. Restaurants are inspected a minimum
of two times a year. A Certified Food Manager is required to be on the
premises during all hours the restaurant is open for business.
We
are listing the last regular restaurant inspection scores in McCracken
County as of this update. Various violations of the Kentucky State Food
carry a point weight. The score of the inspection is the number of
violations subtracted from 100. Critical violations are those conditions
or practices that are considered “critical” to the safety of the food
served in that operation. Critical violations are to be corrected
immediately and a follow-up inspection is to be conducted within ten days.
The number of critical violations noted during the inspection are
indicated next to the scores as “C”. Examples of critical violations
are the following: adulterated food, food temperature violations, poor
employee hygienic practices, not sanitizing food contact surfaces, and
improper storage of toxic items.
